An electric car – based on a second-hand Lotus Exige – has broken the UK electric car speed record with a speed of 151.6mph. We’re not entirely sure how relevant a new UK speed record for an electric car is, but let’s be parochial and report it anyway. The ‘Nemesis’ is an electric car built round a second hand Lotus Exige, bought off eBay, by a team of engineers in a shed in Norfolk and driven by an Estate Agent from Gloucestershire.
The Lexus LFA for sale on eBay
It’s not necessarily the first place you’d look for one of the rarest supercars on the planet, but if you’re looking for a Lexus LFA for sale (sort of) you can find one on eBay. That ‘sort of’ for sale revolves round the very strange conditions imposed by Lexus on US buyers of the LFA who were initially forbidden to buy the LFA outright. Instead they had to enter in to rather odd single payment lease deal with Lexus, which Lexus believed would stop buyers of the LFA from flipping the car for a profit.
The Geely GE at Shanghai - Geely deny copying the Phantom! Last month, long before the Shanghai Motor Show kicked off, we brought you a story on the Geely GE, a Rolls Royce Phantom rip off (or homage, if you prefer) which certainly made us smile.
